Cookies Purpose
utma stores each user's amount of visits and the time of the first and subsequent visits
utmb and utmc used to check approximately how long you stay on a site: when a visit starts, and approximately ends
 
utmz stores where a visitor came from (search engine, search keyword, link)
session_id lasts only for the duration of your visit to the website
 
style used to remember the user preference of text size as per the text resizer buttons at the top of the page. It is a session cookie and will expire with the user session, i.e., they close their browser

  • stmsession - used for the shopping cart to remember a user's shopping cart. This is absolutely essential for the shopping cart to work 
  • maincss - to remember if a user has opted to view the graphical version of the site. The graphic version is default so this is only set after a user has switched to the text only version and then back to the graphic version
     
  • textcss - to remember if a user has opted to view the text only version of the site
